By purchase of Vendor Application, vendor understands the terms and agrees to follow the Hanapepe Art Night guidelines (see below) in order to be considered for fundraiser/vendor status.

All Vendors: Provide a copy of General Excise Tax (GET) license, Certificate of Insurance

Food Vendors: Provide copy of State of Hawaii Health Certificate or Food Handler Certificate

Hanapepe Art night is a weekly not-for-profit event organized by the Hanapepe Economic Alliance. HEA supports the economic revitalization, historic preservation, beautification, and promotion of Hanapepe to visitors and residents. All participating businesses, vendors, non-profit groups and individuals are encouraged to join the HEA.

Fees collected by HEA help offset the costs of the event including public restrooms, security, advertising, permits, cleaning, coordination, and all other expenses accrued to maintain a safe community event. All HEA members receive 25% discount off Friday Art Night fees. Entertainment (Musicians, bands, performers) must send a sample of work to hanapepeartnight@gmail.com for approval.

Vendor Guidelines

+Priority will be given in order to: HEA Members, Kauai Grown members, Kauai Made vendors followed by all others and space available.

+Vendors are required to be at the event from 5 pm to 9 pm. Setup starts at 4 pm and area should be clear by 10 pm.

+Vending spaces are assigned and vendors must set up in the assigned space.

+Vendors must stay in assigned space and not obstruct the sidewalk, roadway, fire hydrants and handicap spaces.

+ Vendors must pay the fee to reserve an approved space and receive Approved Vendor Placard.

+GET license, insurance certificate, and Heath Certificate (if applicable) are required.

+After unloading, the vendor is not allowed to park their vehicles on Hanapepe Road.

+Vendor is responsible for their own trash disposal.

+Supply your own table, chairs, lighting, and any other supplies.

+Music volume level must be respectful to all attendees. One musical group at a time will be allowed within a one block radius.

+All vendors must have their own insurance.

+Friday Art Night is generally open 52 Fridays each year (except when a major holiday such as Christmas is on a Friday). Vendors must notify the coordinator if they will not be able to participate on any assigned Friday.

+Violators of this agreement will cease operating their booth and forfeit their fee payment. They may also be barred from participating in future Art Night events.

+The Hanapepe Friday Art Night committee reserves the right to amend rules as necessary.

 

Food Vendors

+Food Vendors who prepare food on-site must display the State of Hawaii Department of Health Certificate.

+All ready-to-eat, processed and value-added food products must be made in a certified commercial kitchen.

+All food distributors (whether free or for sale) must have a valid temporary food establishment permit from the Sanitation Branch of the State of Hawaii Department of Health displayed at their booth and must abide by all the rules and regulations as established by the State of Hawaii for safe distribution of food.

+Each food vendor is responsible for their own trash disposal; non-compliance is $75 fee per occurrence.

  

Fundraiser Guidelines

+Fundraising is only allowed by registered non-profits and must follow rules for solicitation of donations.

+Organization must provide their federal EIN number.

+Solicitation is allowed in assigned area only.

+Minors (under 18) participating in fundraising must have a ratio of one adult per five minors and must be supervised at all times.

+Violators of this agreement will be asked to cease their participation and forfeit their fee payment. They may also not be allowed to participate in any future Art Night events.

Disclaimer Waiver

Applicants will be reviewed by the Hanapepe Economic Alliance (HEA) and its agents. Approval is based upon space availability as well as the product/services provided. HEA or its agents have the right to determine what goods or services may be sold by the Registrant without liability to HEA or its agents. HEA or its agents have the right to exclude a Registrant in consideration of participation for any reason without liability to HEA or its agents. Registrant in consideration of participation in Hanapepe Friday Art Night sponsored by HEA, individually, jointly and in any representative or legal capacity, on behalf of Registrant, Registrants heirs, executors and/or administrators, does hereby waive, release, discharge and agree to hold harmless and indemnify HEA, its officers, agents, and sponsors from liability or loss of any claim for death, injury, or damage to property resulting directly or indirectly from the Registrants participation in the event.
