Tsunami Taiko started off as an all-children group about 18 years ago. Some of you may have even watched these children grow up over the years. They continue to promote a drug-free lifestyle by providing a healthy activity for children. If anyone is interested, we have beginner classes on Mondays from 5:00 pm in the band room at Waimea High School.

Offering a spirited performance of worldly exotic grooves, with classical and pop overtones. Description: This presentation will focus on our five senses as we prepare three different Kauai Coffees in three different ways. Hands on experience as farmers; Seeing coffee cherries up close; Listening for the crack of roasting; the Smell when its ground, and of course the Taste of good coffee. Each of our 5 senses will be covered as we watch the different ways to prepare coffee and then taste the results.

Description: Chocolate was worshiped as a divinity in the ancient world of the Olmecs and Aztecs, as well as revered as a health tonic in Europe, starting in the seventeenth century. So, how come when I was growing up chocolate was just candy bars, and considered unhealthy??? In my talk, 'changing the way we think about chocolate', I'll explain what happened. Includes 2 chocolate samples.
